The first toys were with 8 Windows without glass (4 on each side) and did not have the brand name of the plant. And only since 1961, the toy started to do with 4 Windows (2 on each side) are protected by glass. This decision was made after children playing with this toy often used sand or other small objects, which subsequently fell into the mechanism of the toy, hammered and spoiled it. Also during this period was added the brand name of the factory on the body of the toy. That's why this toy is true really valuable. You will not find the second like this on Etsy! MC Zenitar-ME1 1,7/50 considered  legendary soviet lens  for one simple reason - it has a diaphragm device in all  with two petals . When closed, the petals form  square hole . There are few lenses with such an unusual aperture shape in nature. The lens is quite rare and nowadays represents  collectible value ... At the same time MC Zenitar-ME1 1,7/50 was a standard lens for the rare and very expensive Zenit-18 camera , which could operate in aperture priority mode. The letter 'E' in the lens name stands for 'Electronic' (electronically controlled aperture). 'Zenith-18' could read the aperture value and,  using excerpts , set the optimal exposure in automatic mode. The diaphragm blades are made in the shape of the letter 'V', when two blades go over each other, it turns out to be a square. It may seem that there are 4 petals, but this is an optical illusion due to their specific shape. What makes this camera so special? Idea and case design are from Adafruit Ice Tube Clock, but schematics and firmware have been significantly changed and improved.         A Core part of the clock is IV-18 big 8-digit 7-segment with decimal points VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) indicator. It made in the Soviet Union (USSR) in 1990yy. The indicator is new, from old stock, has been taken from factory box. Glow green. A lifetime of IV-18 VFD is at least 10000 hours.         The enclosure made of laser cut acrylic abd decorated with polished stainless steel details. Those ones laser cut either.
