Figure height 5.5 cm, width ( front view) 4 cm. This mini sculpture I called Meditative character. Very unusual and interesting, such a man-animal for me symbolizes the unity of the world of man and animals, their peaceful coexistence.  The figurine is made of natural Chinese clay used to create the famous gongfu teapots. After firing in a wood-fired kiln it took an interesting unique color and became like a stone. When lightly tapping on the figurine, it produces a specific ringing sound inherent in metal products. This type of clay is not intended for creating small, detailed sculptures, as it contains many large scribbles. But I managed to create a unique detailed piece. The color in reality may differ from the color on your monitor. He is a perfect addition to your tea ceremony Gongfu Cha, as the figurine is not afraid of boiling water. Japanese macaque dimensions : height 31 mm, width 30 mm, length 69 mm. Frog dimensions: height 14 mm, width 18 mm, length 26 mm. This set of 2 figurines made of natural clay by hand. After painting them with engobe, they were fired in an electric kiln at a temperature of 1050 degrees Celsius. Now they are as strong as stone, yet graceful.

  A gecko with a stand is one piece. Figure length with stand 10 cm, width 5 cm. Gecko is one of my latest works made in Ukraine.  The figurine was fired in a wood-burning stove in Ukraine already during the war.   Geckos are reptiles that belong to the lizard family.  They are very small and come in a variety of colors and appearances.  We can find them on all continents of the world and they are not easy to spot due to their size. Geckos are very adaptable and can survive in a variety of environments, from rainforests to deserts.  Evolution has allowed them to become resistant to these harsh living conditions, as well as avoid being trapped by predators.    People who have a gecko totem are very smart and quick-witted. They can understand every situation they are in and this helps them take the next step.  You can never really guess what these people are thinking, and it's hard to get inside their heads.   This is a very unusual gift in a single copy for the whole world.  Even I can't repeat it.  The gecko will decorate your tea space and become a wonderful tea friend for you.

Tea pair HOKUSAI. Two bowls represent a man and a woman. One bowl depicts a samurai man. On the second - a wise Japanese wife with scrolls. Drawings taken from Hokusai's sketch. On the bowls they are hand-painted by me with a brush. Outside and inside bowls are covered with food safe ceramic glaze. The bowls were fired twice in an oven at 1040 degrees Celsius. The capacity of bowls is 45-50 ml. Height 5.5-6 cm (since the bowls are made by hand without using a potter's wheel, they are not even and this gives them charm).

 Rat figurine is 57mm tall. Small but detailed. The rat is a symbol of wealth, intelligent and thrifty, able to make the best out of any situation.  This Rat figurine is made of two types of clay and has been wood fired. Why was this figurine born?  It's hard to answer.  I love animals, but I've never made a deer before.  Decided to try.  When the deer was ready, it seemed to me that something was missing.  And made the Buddha on horseback.  Then I came across information that historically, it was in the Deer Park that Gautama Buddha gave his first teaching. In addition, deer are fabulous creatures for me, graceful and kind.  I hope you love deer too. The Buddha on the Deer is made of natural clay. A detailed and interesting figure. Other abilities commonly attributed to the kitsune include the ability to inhabit other people's bodies, create fire, appear in other people's dreams, and the ability to create illusions so complex that they are almost indistinguishable from reality. Some of the tales go further, speaking of kitsune with the ability to bend space and time, drive people insane, or take on such inhuman or fantastic forms as trees of indescribable height or a second moon in the sky.  The figurine is made of natural clay. The white horse is almost always a solar symbol of light, life and spiritual enlightenment. It is an attribute of the Buddha (it is said that he left earthly life on a white horse), the merciful Bato Kannon in Japan, the Prophet in Islam (for whom horses were a symbol of happiness and prosperity).   The horse symbolizes dynamics, movement.  It is also an animal that is inherent in courage, loyalty, grace and endurance.  In Feng Shui, a horse means victory, strength and perseverance, respect and peace.  The horse in the traditions of many peoples is revered as a sacred animal. Handcrafted ceramic bowl with carved head of dragon. Glazed inside

The small Cat figurine is 25 mm tall and 45 mm long, made of natural clay, which is used to make teapots in China. After creation this mini Cat was fired in a wood kiln. Because of the fact that the fire from the back of the figure was more, respectively there became a darker color. Cat will look great on a tea tray. He is not afraid of boiling water and loves tea. But though the figurine is hard as a rock, it can shatter if dropped.

A monk with a monkey is a one-piece figurine. Its height 2.83 in, width 1.42 in, depth 1.89 in. A monk is associated with peace, enlightenment and patience. The monkey is dexterous and agile. According to my idea, the monk was meditating and a monkey sat on his shoulders. She liked to sit like that, and although the monk was indignant, over time he got used to it and they became friends. The height of the figurine 2.60 in, the length of the horse 2.99 in. The figurine of a child on a horse is one-piece, made of clay, the shirt is covered with white food glaze. According to my idea, this is a figurine of a Chinese child on a wooden horse with a traditional Chinese pattern. I think it turned out very nice. Children love to ride horses, so I decided to make such an unusual miniature figure. I present to your attention an unusual figurine of a Sphinx rat. Its height is 20mm, length is 82mm.  The Sphinx rat is an attentive, peaceful creature. I have never come across a figurine like this so I decided to create it. This miniature sculpture is made from a mixture of two clays, white and terracotta. I tried to create skin color for realism. I think I got it. This cute little statue has clearly visible folds, pimples on the body, a textured tail. The eyes are made of black clay. These details create a realistic figure. To the touch, the rat is smooth, pleasant and with a pronounced texture. The rat is not afraid of boiling water and will gladly accompany your tea ceremony. But keep in mind that when pouring tea, it will absorb it and become darker over time. It depends on the intensity of pouring tea and its variety (color). Ceramic bowl diameter 2.95 -3.15 inches, height 2.28 inches, capacity 80 ml. The frog is a harbinger of spring rains and the awakening of nature.  I call this bowl the HEATER OF HEAT. When, after hibernation, the frog woke up, climbed a tree in search of the warm rays of the sun to warm up. Outside, the bowl has a wood texture. It seems that the frog is sitting on a tree and striving to reach its top. Inside, the color of the wood is the same, but here the glaze has laid down so that it reminds me of the sun ( seen in the photo). The bowl and the frog are made of clay. They are covered with engobe and food glaze. Food safe. The bowl is very tactilely textured, but the frog is smooth. This is a great option for unity with nature and admiring an unusual bowl with its inhabitant. Monk height 2.56 in, width 1.85 in. In this product the features of monastic life are perfectly represented. Great in small. The ability to say as much as possible while showing as little as possible. This is a Buddhist monk in a Zen pose. He is immersed in meditation and nothing can hinder him. Despite the minimalistic features, he has a well-developed form. The dog is made of clay, but very much resembles a jade figurine. Dog as you know it is a friend of man. He personifies dedication, courage and vigilance. It is a symbol of protection and self-sacrifice. I believe that a dog figurine should be in every home, especially if it is unusual and handmade. There is an expression "like a bull" as this animal is the personification of health, strength, hard work and perseverance. In China, the bull, in addition to the above qualities, also symbolizes benevolence, humility and wealth. The figurine was sculpted with such precision that you will be amazed when you receive it. The height of the cat 1.97 in, width (front view) 1.46 in, width (side view) 1.26 in. In the workshop Terracotta GRYF, there are mostly serious works. I wanted to create something unusual and fun. And so it turned out to be a cartoon cat. When I look at him, my mood immediately rises. I hope you will have the same reaction when you see this cat.  Hedgehog height 1.38 in, length 1.77 in. Getting into your hands, Hedgehog and his friend Snail only evoke positive emotions! Nice texture not prickly but expressive needles, smiling face, black kind eyes and big ears. Hedgehog is a symbol of self-defense. In Feng shui  the Hedgehog is a symbol of security, openness, friendliness and joy. Prickles pierce the world of darkness and either defeats it or gives it a jolt. Ancient legends say that Hedgehog is wise enough, and even God listened to his advice! In China, such an animal is associated with kindness. Hedgehog brings joy and prosperity to the house. The Snail is a symbol of patience and perseverance because of its slowness. Time (the burden on the shoulders) does not deprive the Snail of the ability to victoriously raise antennae above its head. Due to the horns appearing and disappearing, the Snail is considered a symbol of the cyclic nature of the processes. It is also a symbol of time and evolution. So it happened with this figure. This girl is a cat lover. She is gentle and charming.  I think everyone can put their own meaning into this ceramic figure.   This miniature pika figurine is only 26 mm high and 31 mm long. Pikas are small animals that look like hamsters, however, in reality they are close relatives of hares with short legs, rounded ears and tails that are completely invisible from the outside.   This is a truly unique figurine. It is made of natural clay, carefully drawn by hand with engobe. But the eyes are made of black clay and additionally stained with black engobe for greater clarity. It's figure of a young monk with a friend! Monk is dressed in warm clothes. Being in a balanced, peaceful state, he accepts the Tibetan potion made according to an ancient recipe - yak milk + strong Chinese tea +yak fat. A Buddhist monk is an example of virtue. He focuses on the main thing - moral self-improvement. This is going to be a beautiful symbol of your state of mind and a good fit in your life. It’s going to be your companion for the trip. In times of tension, may the Monk always be with you. A satellite and a friend of a monk is a bird sitting on his head. In this composition, two opposites, two lifes, are metaphorically expressed through images. One is a bird, symbolizing a constant worldly fuss in pursuit of the benefits of civilization. The second is a peaceful Monk with an ascetic monastic teapot. The bird learns from the Monk calm and balance. The aim of the Zen practice is to open the eye of the soul and see the basis of life, the desire for inner purification by refraining from vice and material goods.   Daruma is very pleasant to the touch. Close your eyes and imaging that you are holding the sculpture in your hands. Will seem that you have a nice little stone of the correct ergonomic shape… like a pebble from the sea. Shiboridashi - one of a kind Japanese style tea infuser, handy for any good tea of your choice, easy and fun to use - especially with large leaf teas which tend to open widely and fill all space under lid. It was handmade in our studio as a part of the springtime batch of 2024, from the custom mix of Ukrainian clays, covered with silky-matte glaze with brushstrokes of ceramic ink of blue and yellow - it keeps the spirit of minimalism and shades of fire, though with its unique traces of handwork.  ~135ml capacity   We are grateful for your attention to our small handcraft studio during this difficult time, and we share our income with urgent needs of Ukrainian defense and volunteering initiatives.  Thank you!

Boy height 2.13 in, width 1.50 in. A smiling Chinese boy with a sacred fish in his hands is one of the sweetest sculptures of my creative workshop. In Chinese and Japanese everyday life the figurines of children, especially boys, have a large and pronounced symbolism. Netsuke Karako (a Chinese little boy) is the wish of a male heir who would occupy a high social position and thus will bring prosperity to the family. Karako is considered a benevolent symbol, bringing happiness, luck and well-being. In addition to this, the joyful boy is depicted with the sacred fish Tai, which on its tail brings happiness. The baby and the fish are made of red terracotta clay, covered with black glaze. The glaze did not color the figure but only emphasized the lines.
