Віра Манько - львів'янка. Писанкарством займається з 1986 року, активно популяризуючи писання автентичних народних писанок. У 2001 році з'явилася її книжка про народну писанку. В ній авторка загострює увагу на функціональності писанки й особливо на символічності її орнаменту - незнищенного знакового коду нації та пралюдства, що становить надзвичайну цінність для науки і культури, а тому потребує певної консервації. Це друге, доповнене видання цієї книжки, в якому подано більшу, ніж у першому, кількість писанкових творів.

Vira Manko is a resident of Lviv. She has been painting Easter eggs since 1986, actively promoting the creation of authentic folk Easter eggs. In 2001, she published a book about folk pysanka. In it, the author focuses on the functionality of the pysanka and especially on the symbolism of its ornamentation, an indestructible sign code of the nation and prehumanity, which is of great value for science and culture, and therefore requires some conservation. This is the second, expanded edition of this book, which contains a larger number of Easter eggs than the first.

In September 1899, Bishop Andrey Sheptytsky of Stanislaviv paid an archpastoral visit to the Kosiv Deanery in the Hutsul region. Here, in addition to performing services and preaching sermons, he got acquainted with the Hutsuls' way of life, their customs and dialect, founded reading rooms and donated books, and convinced people of the need for education. A year after this trip, on November 20, 1900, Andrei Sheptytsky wrote a message "To My Dear Hutsuls," in which he thanked them for last year's warm welcome; continued to instruct them in matters of faith, education, and proper Christian behavior in family and society; advised them on how to manage money and settle property matters, how to run a household and raise children. Out of great respect and love for his addressees, Andrei Sheptytsky wrote his message in the Hutsul dialect, which is preserved in this edition. It also contains a text by the Ukrainian writer Lyuba-Paraskeviya Strynadyuk, who describes in an artistic style the visit of the Stanislaviv bishop to the Hutsul region, where she comes from. She also conveys the impressions of the Hutsuls themselves from their acquaintance with their spiritual shepherd. Delivery method

We ship all the parcels from Ukraine (from our logistics centers in Kyiv and Chernivtsi) via international services (FedEx, UPS) in two stages. 

First a parcel is sent by express delivery service to Europe, and then, it is shipped by air mail to the United States, Canada or Europe. 

You can see the movement of the parcel by a tracking number only in the second stage - 4-6 days after sending your order from our center. We estimate the delivery time to 12-18 days.

Express delivery is available only on individual request. Please contact us if you need Express delivery before placing an order so we can update shipping options.

Customs duties and taxes

Customers are responsible for any fees, taxes and duties related to delivery and ordering products to their country of destination.
