The Dagda was credited with many powers and possessed a caldron that was never empty, fruit trees that were never barren, and two pigs—one live and the other perpetually roasting. This ceramic mantis figurine has had a long but interesting journey. But I'll be brief. It took quite a long time to create it from natural clay, so small and detailed. After drying, the miniature sculpture went into the wood kiln. But unfortunately the mantis got an unpleasant surprise there - it broke a bit. I was surprised at how interesting the figure turned out. And thanks to kintsugi this original artwork got a second life.
