This is hand carved wooden figurine of the Norse god Freyr. It is made of linden tree. The statuette is covered with linseed oil and wax. Height: 25 centimeters (9,84 inches) It is possible to make such a statue in the size of 20cm (7.87 inches) You can collect your Scandinavian pantheon from my statues. I have other gods and goddesses of the same size and design. Look in my listings and choose! Freyr (Old Norse: Lord), sometimes anglicized as Frey, is a widely attested god associated with sacral kingship, virility and prosperity, with sunshine and fair weather, and pictured as a phallic fertility god in Norse mythology. Freyr is said to "bestow peace and pleasure on mortals." Freyr, sometimes referred to as Yngvi-Freyr, was especially associated with Sweden and seen as an ancestor of the Swedish royal house. I present to you an interesting figurine of a MONKEY WITH A GR*NADE.  It is 42 mm high and 32 mm wide.  In my homeland, this is jokingly called a person who has something dangerous at his disposal, but does not know how to handle it. I found this figure interesting and made it. I hope you like it too. This miniature sculpture is made completely by hand from high-temperature fireclay. It passed two firings in an electric kiln at 1200 degrees Celsius. The monkey figurine likes to drink tea, is not afraid of boiling water, so you can safely pour it with your favorite tea. However, it may darken over time and you will be curious to watch it. Enjoy your tea ceremonies and more.  I Want To Note that the color rendering on your computer may differ from the real color of the figurine. And don't throw the figurine, please, it is strong as a stone, but still can break.

Taoist monk figurine 70mm high, base width 40mm.This miniature monk sculpture was made by hand and fired in a unique SASUKENEI wood-fired kiln.  SASUKENEI is a smokeless wood-fired ceramic kiln designed and built by Japanese master ceramicist Masakazu Kusakabe in 2015 in the village of Cerdeira, Portugal. It's unique dual-chamber design with a large chimney ensures efficient combustion, low smoke levels and rapid temperature attainment of up to 1300 degrees Celsius (24-36 hours), and creates particularly dramatic wood ash firing and glaze effects on finished pieces. This figurine is inspired by old engravings. When you look at it in detail, you see a water bottle made from a gourd and a fan. Standing on the edge of a cliff, the wise monk is contemplating "the way of things" while stroking his beard. For me, this figure means wisdom, eternity and spiritual power. It will make a great addition to your tea ceremony Gong fu cha as a tea pet. Such miniature handmade sculpture will also find a place in your workspace reminding you to take your mind off the hustle and bustle and think quietly about solving a problem. This handmade ceramic set consists of two miniature sculptures. I have named them Good and Evil. But if you want to know a little more, these are in my interpretation the goddess Guanyin and the demon Mara. Guanyin is the goddess of mercy in Buddhism. To me, that's Good. And the demon tempter Mara represents unsophistication, the demise of the spiritual life. To me, that's Evil. But every faith has it's own names for the concepts of Good and Evil.    This set would love to keep you company at a Gong fu cha tea ceremony as tea pets. It will also look great on your table as a reminder of the balance of good and evil in the world. Or you can give the sculptures your own meaning.   These ceramic miniature figurines are made of natural clay at 1280 degrees Celsius. Because of the high firing temperature these sculptures have a shine (natural glaze) and you can see the uneven color, which is more typical of wood firing. Measurements of ceramic sculptures: good height 1.65 in, width 0.63 in, depth 0.43 in; evil height 1.50 in, width 1.10 in, depth 0.87 in. As you can see this set is very miniature and minimalistic but detailed, one of a kind.

The giraffe sculpture is a symbol of honor, majesty, beauty and grace. Giraffe also symbolizes good temperament, calmness, tenderness, care and faithfulness in love. This ceramic mantis figurine has had a long but interesting journey. But I'll be brief. It took quite a long time to create it from natural clay, so small and detailed. After drying, the miniature sculpture went into the wood kiln. But unfortunately the mantis got an unpleasant surprise there - it broke a bit. I was surprised at how interesting the figure turned out. And thanks to kintsugi this original artwork got a second life. It was worth it.  Now the mantis sculpture can decorate your tea space as a tea pet with its own story. It will fit perfectly into your workspace.
