Taoist monk figurine 70mm high, base width 40mm.This miniature monk sculpture was made by hand and fired in a unique SASUKENEI wood-fired kiln.  SASUKENEI is a smokeless wood-fired ceramic kiln designed and built by Japanese master ceramicist Masakazu Kusakabe in 2015 in the village of Cerdeira, Portugal. It's unique dual-chamber design with a large chimney ensures efficient combustion, low smoke levels and rapid temperature attainment of up to 1300 degrees Celsius (24-36 hours), and creates particularly dramatic wood ash firing and glaze effects on finished pieces. This figurine is inspired by old engravings. When you look at it in detail, you see a water bottle made from a gourd and a fan. Standing on the edge of a cliff, the wise monk is contemplating "the way of things" while stroking his beard. For me, this figure means wisdom, eternity and spiritual power. It will make a great addition to your tea ceremony Gong fu cha as a tea pet. Figure height 1.73 in, width 1.14 in. Daruma ( Bodaidaruma) is the founder of the Chan (Zen) Buddhist school. The aim of the Zen practice is to open the eye of the soul and see the basis of life, the desire for inner purification by refraining from vice and material goods.   Daruma is very pleasant to the touch. Close your eyes and imaging that you are holding the sculpture in your hands. Will seem that you have a nice little stone of the correct ergonomic shape… like a pebble from the sea. You can feel it especially clearly on the rear side, where the cape is practically without folds...It’s a very pleasant tactile sensation. Okame height 1.34 in, width 1.02 in. The Okame mask of the Kegen Theatre is one of the cultural symbols of Japan. A very charming piece - a very accurate copy of the handwriting of my creative workshop. It is made of white clay, which became beige during the process of roasting. Upon careful examination, it can be seen that the posterior part of the article( symbolizing the neck of the mask bearer) has come out significantly lighter. That makes it even clearer. Also some fragments (eyebrows, eyelashes, hair) are covered with black engobe, teeth-white, the lips are highlighted by a slight smear of red clay. Okame is the Japanese goddess of happiness and fun. She is usually depicted as a small fat woman with a large pear-like head, burning eyes, a broad, curly face, plucked eyebrows, a small mouth and full cheeks. Okame is known in Japanese mythology as well as Ame no Uzume - «Heavenly Maiden of Courage». It was she who lured the goddess of the Sun, Amateras, out of the cave with her frantic dance and brought light back to the world. The popular image of Okame was very popular. It is not by chance that her other names are Ofuku (in Japanese - «happiness») and Otafuku («great happiness»). The word «okama» is literally translated as a «turtle»; this animal in ancient Japan was a symbol of long life and luck. It’s going to be a great gift to a man who’s interested in Oriental culture. Figurine is height 2.20 in, width 2.44 in.  A very interesting and unusual sculpture. I call her Geisha with a cat. Sometimes you are going to blind one thing, it turns out completely different. So it happened with this original artwork. This girl is a cat lover. She is gentle and charming.  I think everyone can put their own meaning into this ceramic miniature figurine. This handmade miniature sculpture is made of natural clay, covered with engobe and the details are highlighted with black glaze. All materials from which the figurine is made are ecologic and safe. Tea pair HOKUSAI. Two bowls represent a man and a woman. One bowl depicts a samurai man. On the second - a wise Japanese wife with scrolls. Drawings taken from Hokusai's sketch. On the bowls they are hand-painted by me with a brush. Outside and inside bowls are covered with food safe ceramic glaze. The bowls were fired twice in an oven at 1040 degrees Celsius. The capacity of bowls is 45-50 ml. Height 5.5-6 cm (since the bowls are made by hand without using a potter's wheel, they are not even and this gives them charm).

This figurine is the good-natured, hospitable Hostess of the tea table. HARE- HOSTESS made of natural clay. It's height is 5 cm. The figurine is covered with engobe by hand with a brush. This mini sculpture I called Meditative character. Very unusual handmade sculpture and interesting realization of the idea. Such a man-animal for me symbolizes the unity of the world of man and animals, their peaceful coexistence.  Measurements this ceramic artwork - height 5.5 cm, width ( front view) 4 cm. This miniature ceramic statue is made from natural Chinese clay used to create the famous Gongfucha teapots. After firing in a wood-fired kiln it took an interesting unique color and became like a stone. When lightly tapping on the figurine, it produces a specific ringing sound inherent in metal products. This type of clay is not intended for creating small, detailed sculptures, as it contains many large scribbles. But I managed to create a unique detailed piece.  This man-animal in meditation is a perfect addition to your tea ceremony Gongfu Cha as a tea pet, as the figurine is not afraid of boiling water. I present to you an interesting figurine of a MONKEY WITH A GR*NADE.  It is 42 mm high and 32 mm wide.  In my homeland, this is jokingly called a person who has something dangerous at his disposal, but does not know how to handle it. I found this figure interesting and made it. I hope you like it too. This miniature sculpture is made completely by hand from high-temperature fireclay. It passed two firings in an electric kiln at 1200 degrees Celsius. The monkey figurine likes to drink tea, is not afraid of boiling water, so you can safely pour it with your favorite tea. However, it may darken over time and you will be curious to watch it. Dimensions of the figurine 27 mm high, 30 mm wide (top view) and 66 mm long from ear to tail.   Such a seemingly simple figurine of a mother cat with a kitten playing with her tail. But this mini-sculpture contains so much love and cuteness that the figure does not seem so simple anymore. Height of the figure sitting on hind legs is 53 mm, width of the figure is 40 mm, length from head to tail is 60 mm. The height of the turtle when it stands on four legs is 38 mm. This is an unusual figure of a turtle. It has two positions - normal on four legs and can sit on its hind legs. In the latter position you see a tea cake in its paws. When you look at it in detail you can see the texture of the tea and the hieroglyph for the word tea. The figure of the turtle symbolizes longevity, wisdom, good health. In my opinion thanks to tea and diligence this can be achieved. Therefore my idea of this mini sculpture is that the turtle thanks the sky for good tea. This original ceramic sculpture of  shy Hare is 52 mm high, length from paws to tail 46 mm. Made entirely by hand from natural high-temperature fireclay. When I made the tiny figurine and looked at it, I found this Hare shy. You know, if you praise a fox, he would become in a proud stand and licked in anticipation of something tasty. But this hare, he turned away and looked back shyly. Though he is faster than the fox, and perhaps smarter, he has a soft temper. That's why Hare, like some people, doesn't know how to accept praise and recognition. That's the way I see it.  Hedgehog height 1.38 in, length 1.77 in. Getting into your hands, Hedgehog and his friend Snail only evoke positive emotions! Nice texture not prickly but expressive needles, smiling face, black kind eyes and big ears. Hedgehog is a symbol of self-defense. In Feng shui  the Hedgehog is a symbol of security, openness, friendliness and joy. Prickles pierce the world of darkness and either defeats it or gives it a jolt. Ancient legends say that Hedgehog is wise enough, and even God listened to his advice! In China, such an animal is associated with kindness. Hedgehog brings joy and prosperity to the house.
