The pictures on the item look like colored burning on the bone. Uelen’s and Magadan (Chukotka) craftworks are perhaps most famous for their detailed engraving on the bone which often depicts their legends as well as scenes of traditional activities like legends, hunting, and reindeer herding.   There is a handwritten indication on the bone cut "Uelen, price is 520 rubles".
