Kilfitt Zoomar Muenchen Pan-Tele-Kilar 300mm F4 1:1 High Quality Telephoto Macro Lens Heavy duty, high quality, extremely rare prime lens.  Apparently this is the WE version. Good working condition. Very few cleaning marks/micro scratches. Mechanically very good. Impressive long range Kilfitt Pan-Tele-Kilar 4/300 telephoto/macro lens. Kilfitt was one of the best and most innovative German lens makers of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Every Kilfitt lens was tested before leaving the factory.   Film was not considered flat enough for accurate tests, so it was shot on glass plates -- two of them.  One plate went out with the lens, the other stayed at the factory for future comparisons if the lens was ever returned for repairs.   The lenses were bolted to a tripod head mounted in concrete in the basement of the Kilfitt factory.  If you are not impressed, you should be.  Mr. Kilfitt wanted to turn out quality lenses, and he did. The legendary Helios-44 lens (13 blades) inspired by the German Carl Zeiss «Biotar 2/58». The optical design was taken from Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 2/58.
