It can be used with an adapter on modern SRL DSRL and mirrorless cameras.   The legendary Russian Helios-40 'Bokeh Miracle'. If there is a lens that can be called the ultimate Soviet legend, it would be the HELIOS-40 1.5/85. It's a blurry bokeh that has inspired many to try the vintage glass, and really, what this lens can do in the right conditions,  Everything else blows out of the water - vintage or modern. Produces a beautiful biotar-style bokeh - highlighting highlights in the focus as beautiful discs (under the right conditions) so the background swirls slightly. Russian (USSR) Helios-40 lenses are considered one of the best portrait lenses. Sometimes the combination of old and new can lead to startling results. There are a few fantastic analogue lenses, with adapters that blend well with modern digital cameras. One of them is the Russian portrait lens Helios 40 85mm f 1,5 . There is a lot of technical information about this lens on the internet, You can easily find it. The best thing about this lens is the excellent oil-painted bokeh at Aperture's F 1.5 -2.
