Signed lower right by Émile TABARY (1857-1927), French. Scene in the town park, a moment of life of the aristocracy of the 19th century, which stopped thanks to the magnificent skill of the artist. One of most interesting works ever on public sales by this artist. Son of a house painter, Angèle Emile Tabary was born on June 10, 1857 in Chaumont-en-Vexin (Oise). Painter, he was a student of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He married in Beauvais on July 30, 1884. Charles Herbert, photographer, former student of the School of Fine Arts, was his witness. It was undoubtedly shortly after that Tabary took over from him in the photography studio located on rue Saint-Pierre, opposite the famous gothic St.Peter’s cathedral (Beauvais). In 1901, Daniel Richard worked at this address after him. Oil painting on strong paperboard approx. 82 x 66 cm (ca 32,3 x 26 inches) and modest thin frame app. 93 by 76 cm (app. 36,6 x 30).
