Figure height 1.73 in, width 1.14 in. Daruma ( Bodaidaruma) is the founder of the Chan (Zen) Buddhist school. The aim of the Zen practice is to open the eye of the soul and see the basis of life, the desire for inner purification by refraining from vice and material goods.   Daruma is very pleasant to the touch. Close your eyes and imaging that you are holding the sculpture in your hands. Will seem that you have a nice little stone of the correct ergonomic shape… like a pebble from the sea. You can feel it especially clearly on the rear side, where the cape is practically without folds...It’s a very pleasant tactile sensation. And then you open your eyes and you see one of the Chinese and Japanese deities. It is magical feeling. Give Daruma with the wishes to achieve the wisdom, peace and enlightenment. This is unusual tea pet for gongfu tea. It is made of two types of clay - red and white. The details (eyes, eyebrows and beard) are painted with white and black engobe. To highlight the pupils, a drop of black glossy glaze is applied on the pupils. It makes Daruma very lively.  Get the real pleasure of owning a single copy of such a famous character in Asia. All our products are copyrighted. They are and will be in one copy. Each product has meaning and philosophy. But if you want, you can give it your own personal history and name. The products are made of Ukrainian clay but using a small amount of Spanish clay. I use engobe and high-quality glaze to finish the figures. Clay is burned twice at 960 and 1080 degrees Celsius in a muffle furnace designed for firing ceramic products. Clay and glazes are led free and food safe.
