Poppo von Osterna (died 1267) was the ninth Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights. Poppo von Osterna (died November 6, 1267) was the ninth Grand Master of the Teutonic order (1253 1256). Poppo von Osterna is from a rich family of knightly traditions that resides in Osternohe near Nuremberg in Franconia. He joined the Teutonic order in 1228, it is one of the brothers settle in Prussia. He became Master of Prussia in 1240 and took part in the battle of Legnica 1241, although the participation of the Teutonic Knights in battle is questionable.
