Description

Early version 1965 Salut Type 2 medium format camera

Very rare version of the Russian copy of the famous Hasselblad medium format camera. Collector's item, rarity.
This Salyut has shutter speeds up to 1/1500. Later models only have shutter speeds up to 1/1000.
Very few such cameras have been made. Real collector's item.

Type 2
1958-65
Speeds: 1/2-1/1500 +B
(early types)

The Salyut (later Kiev-88) was very expensive when it was built, about half a year’s salary for an average Soviet worker,
and was therefore sold and produced in very small numbers. This means that production has been very limited and these cameras and lenses are rare.

The camera is very robust and does what it should do:
a lot of fun and, above all, VERY good photos that are in no way inferior to those of an expensive ROLLEI or HASSELBLAD.

Arax, Arsenal, ARSAT, Kiev-88, Hartblei, Kiev-80, Kiev-90, Zenith-80, Salut-C, Salyut-C, Revue 6x6, Revue-80, Vitoflex, Kiev-88CM, Kiev-BIG, KIEV- 688, Kiev-Six, Kiev-USA, Souyuz, BIG-SIX, Saljut-S, B.I.G.-SIX, Hasselblad

Perfect portrait lens  Helios 40-2 85mm ƒ/1,5  "Bokeh Miracle" USSR. New and unused. Copy from Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar. King of swirly bokeh! It can be used with an adapter on modern SRL DSRL and mirrorless cameras.   The legendary Russian Helios-40 'Bokeh Miracle'. If there is a lens that can be called the ultimate Soviet legend, it would be the HELIOS-40 1.5/85. It's a blurry bokeh that has inspired many to try the vintage glass, and really, what this lens can do in the right conditions,  Everything else blows out of the water - vintage or modern. Produces a beautiful biotar-style bokeh - highlighting highlights in the focus as beautiful discs (under the right conditions) so the background swirls slightly. Russian (USSR) Helios-40 lenses are considered one of the best portrait lenses. Sometimes the combination of old and new can lead to startling results. There are a few fantastic analogue lenses, with adapters that blend well with modern digital cameras. One of them is the Russian portrait lens Helios 40 85mm f 1,5 . There is a lot of technical information about this lens on the internet, You can easily find it. The best thing about this lens is the excellent oil-painted bokeh at Aperture's F 1.5 -2. The background blurring has a noticeable "swirly bokeh" effect, especially with F 1.5 . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- See my other items to save shipping costs.  Usual shipping time (with tracking) to EU 9-25 days, USA and Canada 15-35 days, other world 17-45 days. LOMO OKS RO3-3M f/2 50mm professionally remodeled for Arri PL mount RED One Aaton Alexa BMPCC etc. Arri RED Aaton Alexa BMPCC etc. RO3-3M - professional cine movie lens RO3-3M - the lens is designed for professional film cameras operating on 35mm film with a frame size of 16x22mm.  Produced in a frame for cameras 'Konvas' (KSR-1M, KSR-2).  High-aperture six-lens anastigmat.  Predecessor of OKC1-50-1. RO3-3M attracts with fourteen aperture blades and a peculiar picture, sharp in the center of the frame already at F/2. Some Soviet film lenses are still highly valued by amateur photographers.  Such lenses have unique or at least interesting optical characteristics. RO3-3M is a bright representative of such lenses. RO3-3M has a 6/4 Planar type optical scheme, similar to the Biotar scheme used in classic photo lenses of the Helios-44 family.  Biotar is a derivative of Planar. From here, the similarity of the picture between RO3-3M 2/50 and, for example, MS Helios-81N 2/50. First of all, twisted bokeh catches the eye. In general, RO3-3M is noticeably sharper than most Helios lenses of the  Helios-44 family. The RO3-3M lens can be used on mirrorless cameras.  Format: APS-C (crop) Type: Fixed focal length (fixed) Focus: Manual focus System: ARRI PL Optical design:  Planar   6 lenses in 4 groups Additional Information: Focal length 50.7mm Angular field of view 33° Working distance 57 mm Anterior focal length 14.92mm Rear focal length 32.83mm Light transmission coefficient 0.81 Resolution power in the center - 45 lines/mm, along the edge of the field - 25 lines/mm Light diameter of the first surface 25mm Light diameter of the last surface 24mm Diameter 56mm ===================================================================== See my other items to save shipping costs.  Please note that delivery may be delayed due to COVID.
