The lens came in variants with both the unique Krasnogorsk bayonet mount and the M42x1 mount (flange focal distance - 45.5 mm) The optical scheme of the lens includes 16 elements. Four elements make the principal lens; 12 elements in 5 groups are a part of the variable magnification and focusing system.
