The fractional scanner for gynecology is a removable attachment mounted on the manipulator of the laser apparatus. Provides rapid uniform movement (scanning) of the focused laser beam over the surface of the treated area according to a certain law, and allows fractional removal of the tissue with minimal thermal damage to nearby tissues. It is used in gynecology of vaginal rejuvenation procedures.

 Indications for the application of the procedure for vaginal rejuvenation are:

DESCRIPTION OF FRACTION SCANNER FOR GYNECOLOGY

Laser apparatuses on the L2Med CO2 laser are used in the practice of gynecologists for the treatment of cervical pathologies, removal of neoplasms of the external genital organs. Recently, the technology of vaginal rejuvenation using a laser has gained wide popularity. This technique came to gynecology from dermatocosmetology, where lasers are successfully used for fractional skin rejuvenation. Unlike dermatocosmetology, in gynecology the fractional laser acts not on the skin, but on the inner surface of the vagina, providing a therapeutic effect.

With fractional exposure, the biotissue is not removed layer by layer, but by microparticles - by fractions. 

There are two types of fractional laser action:

1. Ablyative fractional impact

This procedure removes microscopic biotissue from the laser, and the damaged microzones gradually contract during the healing process. It provides biotissue effect of lifting after the first procedure.

2. Non-ablative fractional impact

With non-ablative action, the microparticles of the biotissue are deeply heated, which ensures the renewal of collagen in the tissues, but these processes occur in deeper layers of the tissue and do not give a visual effect.

CO2 laser, due to its physical properties, provides a combination of ablative and non-ablative effects, i.e. ensures the removal of the micro-part of the tissue with simultaneous heating.

The procedure for fractional vaginal rejuvenation in the "Med" device is realized with the help of a specialized scanner attachment that allows the micro-sections of the internal wall of the vagina to be removed (removed) by the focused CO2 laser beam within the scanning field to a given depth with a given density of micro-regions. The scanning field is a rectangle with a maximum size of 9x9 mm filled with micro-sections. The number of micro-sections within the scanning field is adjustable

With fractional action, the apparatus "L'Med" works in the superimpulse mode of radiation. In this mode of CO2 laser radiation, biotissue conditions are created for its photodynamic ablation, when tissue removal occurs as a rapid explosion without a pronounced thermal effect. The removal of biotissue occurs so quickly that in the zone of laser exposure heat does not manage to spread, there is practically no carbonation in tissues, thermal damage in surrounding tissues is minimal.

In the laser apparatus "L'Med" it is possible to adjust the duration of the superimpulse in the range from 10 to 1000 μs. This makes it possible to regulate the depth of the micro-section to be removed during a fractional action in one impulse of action from 20 to 1000 μm.

In addition, the design of the scanner allows you to adjust the number of pulses at each point of impact from 1 to 3, which allows you to increase the depth of the removed micro-section to 1700 microns
