Description

Very rare and very qualitative M39 Jupiter-9 RF Silver

1960 KMZ version lens with the best optics quality.

KMZ factory !!! No Arsenal, no LZOS(Lytkarino)!!!

Jupiter-9, quite compact and fast portrait lens. Developed for range finder cameras. Can be used on many other systems with an adapter.

One of the best Russian portrait lenses. The Jupiter-9 lens is quite good as a portrait painter. It gives a rather sharp, but plastic and three-dimensional picture. Due to the low resolution and low contrast, it transmits semitones well and hides skin defects.

Not all lenses were produced at KMZ: some were produced by the Arsenal plant, and some were produced by LZOS(Lytkarino). The low production culture in Lytkarino and the associated almost 100% optical marriage caused unflattering reviews about this lens among amateur photographers. However, low-quality lenses produced by LZOS are, one might say, generally different Jupiter-9s, which manifest themselves during operation differently from Krasnogorsk or Arsenal ones.

The best Jupiter-9 lenses can be considered white KMZ Jupiters, produced before 1965.

There are many Jupiter-9 85mm f/2 lenses currently on sale on the secondary market at quite attractive prices (the MC version is rare, though). It is better to give preference to lenses that were exported (Jupiter is written in Latin letters), white/silver lenses before 1965 and black MC lenses after 1988.

The Jupiter-9 short aperture telephoto lens is one of the most famous Soviet portrait lenses. The lens was developed on the basis of the Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 85/2 and has been produced since 1951 in a frame for rangefinder cameras of the Contax RF (Kyiv) and M39 LTM (Zorkiy, FED) systems. It is believed that the prototype Jupiter-9, "Zonnar-Krasnogorsky" ZK-85 was produced from German lens blocks from 1948 to 1951.____________________________________

Salut-S (or Salyut-S, Salut-C = Salut-C) is a medium format SLR film system camera, manufactured by Arsenal Factory, in Kiev, Ukraine, formerly USSR and produced between 1972-1980, quantity 30.000 . First models of Salyut were probably the near copies of Hasselblad 1000F or 1600F. Salut-S is the very modified model of the first Salut, and has a modified version. This allows full automation of the lenses and the use of extension tubes and a teleconverter. The Salut / Kiev 88 models are sometimes affectionately known as the "Hasselbladski" due to their resemblance to a Hasselblad. The Salyut was the first attempt to produce a sophisticated medium format camera. It was probably a near copy of the Hasselblad 1600. The Soviets claimed that both the Hasselblad and the Saliut were derived from a Nazi prototype, but none of these were originally believed to be dubious. These cameras were very expensive at 400 rubles, which represents 6 months salary to the average Soviet citizen. This means that production very limited and   These cameras are rare.   Medium format SLR  Revue 6 • 6 export version of Salut camera. Working condition. Checked, cleaned, lubricated. Very rare version of the Russian copy of the famous Hasselblad medium format camera. Collector's item, rarity R4 .  The Revue 6×6 is a medium format camera. The camera was built by Arsenal in Ukraine, at that time still part of the Soviet Union. In Germany, the model was then sold by Foto-Quelle under its own private label. The Revue 6 × 6 is based on the Salyut. The Revue 6x6 is the same as a Kyiv-80 or Zenith-80, they called it Revue for import. But much rarer under this name - Revue 6 × 6. Very few such cameras have been made. Real collector's item. Less common export version of Salyut camera, under name "Zenith-80". Fitted with Industar-29 2.8/80mm lens. "Made in USSR" markings on the side-plate. Then came the Salyut-S which was exported under the name of the Zenith 80. It’s a copy of the Hasselblad 1000F. These cameras were very expensive at 400 Rubles, which represented 6 months salary to the average Soviet citizen. This means that production was very limited and these cameras and lenses are rare. Variation three can also be found marked Zenit 80 and were produced for TO&E in England Camera type SLR camera Film format 120 / medium format Focus Manual Viewfinder waist level viewfinder Shutter speeds 1/1000s to 1/2s, Bulb Bulb mode Yes Built-in Flash No Tripod thread Yes Cable release thread Yes Power supply Not necessary Production country Soviet Union, Ukraine The Salyut (later Kiev-88) was very expensive when it was built, about half a year’s salary for an average Soviet worker, and was therefore sold and produced in very small numbers. This means that production has been very limited and these cameras and lenses are rare. The camera is very robust and does what it should do: a lot of fun and, above all, VERY good photos that are in no way inferior to those of an expensive ROLLEI or HASSELBLAD. The Krasnogorsk-3 is a spring-wound 16mm mirror-reflex movie camera designed and manufactured in the USSR by KMZ (Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant).  It was one of the most popular 16mm movie cameras in Eastern Europe, where it made a prominent appearance in Krzysztof Kieślowski's 1979 film Camera Buff, and continues to enjoy considerable popularity in the West. Director Spike Lee shot parts of his film Get on the Bus with a Krasnogorsk-3. The Krasnogorsk-3 uses standard 100-foot (30 m) load of 16mm film (single or double-perforation). There is no provision for an external magazine. The stock lens is the f/1.9 17–69 mm zoom lens Meteor-5-1, considered by many to be a quality optic. The M42 screw-mount allows for the use of widely available lenses from 35 mm still cameras such as Asahi Pentax Takumar lenses. The camera has a single pulldown claw and no registration pin. Film speed is adjustable from 8 frame/s to 48 frame/s; however, many cameras are capable of functioning at higher frame rates (upwards of 60 fps) if the adjusting dial is turned beyond the 48 fps indicating mark. A single-frame release at the back of the Krasnogorsk-3 allows for animation and other single-frame applications. Kranosgorsk works in all conditions, in cold, heat, rain and dust. This good camera for travel, expeditions, and in a war zone. The supplied zoom lens is of extremely high quality and is sufficient for almost any recording situation. Any Pentax screw mount lens will work on the K-3, so you can use any 35mm SLR lens on your K-3. The K-3 has been adopted by many film schools, including the University of Southern California's School of Cinema and Television. It has a semi-automatic diaphragm setting. Its low price, rugged construction and sophisticated optics have made it very popular with both beginning filmmakers and professionals. Among the K-3's credits are music videos for the Spin Doctors and Suicidal Tendencies. The Krasnogorsk-3 features: 17-69mm f1.9 zoom precision Zenit Lens Electronic exposure meter Continuously variable speed from 8-48 fps Single-frame animation Rotating mirror beam-splitter Film counter __________________________________________________________ See my other items to save shipping costs.  Usual shipping time (with tracking) to EU 9-25 days, USA and Canada 15-35 days, other world 17-45 days. New! Jupiter-3+ F1.5/50mm L39/M Serail nummber # 0000002yy2   Art lens Lomography + Zenit(KMZ) Open box, never used lens. Joint production of the famous Austrian company Lomography and the Krasnogorsk Optical Plant KMZ. With the same superbly compact design and classic demeanor, the technical specifications of the original Jupiter 3 have been recalculated to make this highly specialized lens far more accessible to today's photographers. It is available with L39 and M mount  cameras as well as a wide range of other cameras with adapter mounts. The New Jupiter 3+ Art Lens is manufactured in small batches and is therefore only available in very limited quantities. The Jupiter was designed for 35mm film, so it covers a full-frame image circle, with its 50mm focal length delivering a traditional standard-angle field of view when paired with a full-frame body like the Sony Alpha 7 II or the Leica M. When paired with an APS-C mirrorless system the field of view narrows, approximating that of the 75mm prime on a full-frame system, and it narrows more on a Micro Four Thirds camera, matching the telephoto look of a 100mm lens on a full-frame body.   Pros: Character-forward optical design. Wide aperture. 0.7-meter focus. Rangefinder coupled. Compact. Excellent packaging. Focal Length: 50mm Aperture: f/1.5 - f/22 Lens Mount: L39, includes Leica M-mount adapter M-mount Adapter Frame Line Triggering: 50mm frame line Rangefinder Coupling: Yes Minimum image circle: 44mm Field of view: 46 degrees Flange distance: 28.8mm (L39 mount) 27.8mm (M mount) Closest Focusing Distance: 0.7m Filter Thread Requirement: 40.5mm Lens Construction: 7 elements in 3 groups _______________ See my other items to save shipping costs.
