Description

Old knife switch, in working condition. Judging by the presence of a jagged gap in the contacts, its original purpose was to turn off the old radio antenna during a thunderstorm. Therefore, this is not a simple switches, but the so-called lightning rods, as it is said in the 1959 book "Young Radio Amateur" in photo 7. It also shows a diagram of its connection between the antenna and the radio receiver.
It was apparently once coated with chrome, which has partially peeled off.

Such knife switches were used until the early 1960s to work with detector radios, which later fell into disuse. But of course, such switches can also be used for their usual purpose to open electrical circuit.

Manufactured at the Moscow factory ATE-1, which was founded in 1929 and produced equipment for the automotive and aviation industries. https://ate-1.ru/history/

Old, very stylish Soviet bakelite telephone designed for use in the director's office. In the instructions it is called a concentrator, its name KD - "Koncentrator Direktora" (Director's Concentrator). Manufactured in 1971. The case is generally in good condition, without damage, but in some places, as well as on some keys, scratches are visible. Functionality is unknown, but no damage is visible inside, two of the six incandescent warning lamps that should illuminate the names of subscribers from the front are missing. At the bottom, under the two blocks of signal lamps, there are two strips for attaching signs on which you can indicate the names of subscribers. You can see an example of this in photo 8. In my opinion, white names on a black background look more attractive than black ones on white. The six square buttons above were apparently designed to quickly call these subscribers without having to dial the number using the round disk. But if it is will be used for its intended purpose, in this case, the performance of its parts does not matter, since they most likely will be replaced with modern electronics, for example, from the walkie or Arduino GSM module for use with modern SIM cards, and instead of six incandescent signal lamps, LEDs can be installed. And of course, it can be used simply as a decoration for the interior. I have screenshots of the instructions in Russian for this phone, but if the phone will be redone, then there is no point in these instruction, which describe its structure and operation. This movie camera designed to work with "Double 8" (2x8 mm) film wound on a reel. You can read more about film formats here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8_mm_film Formats "Super 8" and "8mm" are not suitable for this movie camera. If you are planning to use a movie camera for its intended purpose, I can tell you where to buy film for it. You can easily find this information yourself through a search on the Internet, the main thing is to specify the correct format - "Double 8". According to the passport, this movie camera was manufactured on July 22, 1981, and has serial number 817847 (indicated on the lens). At the top of the passport there is a stamp indicating the date of recheck - October 15, 1984. And of course, before putting it up for sale, I myself checked it for functionality. The camera was tested in the work with the film, everything worked correctly. All speeds worked and also in two additional modes - single-frame shooting mode and continuous shooting mode CC, when you do not need to hold down the shutter button. The shutter rotation was also visible in the frame window. Distance and aperture scales worked throughout the entire range. The exposure meter is also in working condition and its needle changed readings depending on the set aperture values and film sensitivity. (photo 8). The video that you see among the photos shows the work with the film of this particular instance. I loaded film into this movie camera as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uah320yMcg All accessories that come with this movie camera without packaging paper are shown in photo 2 below. The foam part of the original packaging has cracked and the left side is missing. However, if this set is shipped, the original box will be placed in another padded box. In addition to accessories, the kit includes instructions, a passport, tables of depth of field values (in meters) when using two attachment lenses (with focal lengths of 250 and 667 mm) and without them. It was produced from 1971 to 1983 at the KMZ factory in the Krasnogorsk city. Quartz 2x8 S3 is a narrow-film movie camera designed for the filming of amateur movies. Designed to work with Super 2x8 film format, wound on a reel. The useful capacity of the reel is 7.5 m of film, which makes it possible to produce 15 m of film. Semi-automatic installation of the aperture provides efficiency when shooting and eliminates the possibility of errors in determining the exposure. The lens "Meteor-8M" with variable focal length allows you to smoothly change the scale of the image. The change in focal length is coordinated with the end-to-end (unparalleled) sight. A spring drive with a full plant pulls 2 m of film. Shooting frequencies of 12, 18, 24 and 36 fps, frame-by-frame shooting, self-shooting, film rewind, unit of grab disconnecting greatly expand the technical capabilities of the camera. In Chrome browser through the translation function you can read here the instruction for this movie camera: http://www.zenitcamera.com/mans/quarz-2x8s-3/quarz-2x8s-3.html

Old Soviet night light, which looks like a street lamp, in working condition. Designed for use with voltages up to 220V. At a lower voltage, such as 120V, the brightness will be lower. But the brightness also depends on the type of lamp installed. According to the factory label, its name is “Riga Lantern”. Made in 1984 in Latvia, which at that time was part of the Soviet Union. The inscription "Riga" near the buttons is the capital of this republic. The lamp has an unusual control using two buttons. The right button is designed to turn it on, the left button switches the lamp power (see video). There is a lamp installed inside, apparently of the same type as in refrigerators. To replace it in the future, you will need to bend the upper ends of the six vertical strips on which this cover rests. In the future, after installing the lamp, it is advisable to make opening this cover easier. One option is to glue two small magnets to the inside of the lid, and glue two small pieces of magnetic steel to the two strips in the upper part opposite the magnets. For a buyer from the United States, I will add free the adapter for the plug of charge (photo 7), and he will not need to remade the wire. Height 8.1" / 205 mm

Used in the 1940s with communications equipment in Western coalition countries. The country where it was made is not known exactly. According to some sources, this is Great Britain, according to others, Canada. This instance was most likely delivered to the Soviet Union via Lend Lease. Overall its condition is very good, there is only damage to the cable (photo 7). The receiving element is non-separable, apparently of the coal type. There is little information on the Internet about such a microphone. Here is a short article about it: https://www.qsl.net/zl1cop/Exhibits/Handmic%20no%207/No%207%20Mic.htm
