“The Seagull”/Chaika"   is a model of mechanical wristwatches produced by the Chaika watch factory, produced until 2006. On June 16, 1963, on the spacecraft Vostok-6, Valentina Vladimirovna Tereshkova made her first space flight (and concurrently the world's first flight of a female cosmonaut), which lasted almost three days. In honor of this historic event, all watches produced by the Uglich watch factory began to be produced under the brand name “Chaika” (Valentina Tereshkova's call sign was “Chaika”).
