"Molnija" are the legendary clocks made by Chelyabinsk Watch Factory in Ural (formerly USSR). Stand is made of marble. The mechanism is made on the basis of Tank Clock. Tank clocks were redesigned for civilian use and the mechanism was redesigned to guide the watch from the rear. They work quietly, range from one plant - up to a week.   Dimensions: Length 20 cm. / 7.87 in Width 6,5 cm. / 2.55 in Height 11,5 cm. / 4.52 in Weight 1,180 gram   Clock & Watch Factory «Molnija» established in 1947, is one of biggest and oldest factories. It is situated in the center Chelyabinsk: industrial, educational and cultural center of South Urals, in the middle, just on the boarder between Europe and Asia. Chelyabinsk is called «Gate between Europe and Asia». "Molnija" Watch Factory produce mechanical pocket watches and wall clocks. The most attractive and unique product of them remains for more than half a century mechanical 18 jewels pocket watches «Molnija». It's movement is a perfect copy of Swiss balance movement with off-centre second hand, lever escapement through the pallet. Eighty  percent (!)  of the work hand made. All parts for pocket watches, except jewels and accessories (chains and flocked boxes) produce on this Watch Factory.   Dear Buyers, you need to understand; Antique and vintage watches (and clock) - are very delicate and I always pack them in a good packing for high degree preventing of damage. High altitude flights, jolting, atmospheric pressure, extreme temperature changes, frequent loading and frequent carrying in delivery time to You; can be hard on watch. This can cause the oil viscosity to decrease (gumming), the watch-hands can dropped down and prevent the ticking of watch (the balance can't f freely etc.). For this reason I can't guarantee a perfect working of watch. It may need to be oiled when it arrive - regardless of its recent servicing. Although this is only a very slight possibility it can occasionally happen. Please bear in mind that you are buying used watch - which already more than 30 years old and it will require service, cleaning, lubrication and calibration etc.   ATTENTION: Dear Customers, you will receive exactly the same item which you see on the pictures, not similar or other.
