Our Viparita Dandasana bench is crafted to the exact dimensions recommended by senior Iyengar yoga teachers. Every detail in our bench is thought out so that it comfortably and effectively follows the geometric contours of the body in back bends, contributing to the maximum opening and relaxation of the chest, shoulders and sacrum region, stretching the spine along its entire length. Our experts have carefully thought out the design of the bench so that it is convenient and compact during transportation, as well as during assembly of the bench (you only need a few minutes to fold the bench). The bench is great for opening the chest area and at the same time finding/accommodating comfortable space for breathing (in Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, Urdhva Dhanurasana, etc.). It can use it for supported Setu Bandha Sarvangasnana (bridge pose), Supta Virasana (supported/reclining) hero's pose and, a support Matsyasana (fish pose) to mention a few. It aids in stretching and toning the abdominal, stretches the shoulders as well as the chest, helps with lessening menstrual cramps and it may be of benefit for those with Scoliosis.
