The “Honorary Worker of the Cheka – GPU” (V) badge was awarded until the end of 1932 when, on the eve of the 15th anniversary of the Cheka – OGPU, a variant of this badge with Roman numerals “XV” instead of “V” was established. In the interval between these anniversaries in 1927, an icon with the profile of Dzerzhinsky against the background of the red banner was established for the 10th anniversary of the OGPU. He was not an honorary badge of honor, for he did not have an individual number on the reverse and was handed without the decision of any central governing body (for example, the college of the OGPU). In the order of the OGPU No. 250a of December 17, 1927, it was called a “jubilee badge” and the left chest pocket was designated the place of its wearing, while the award marks “Honorary Worker of the Cheka and the GPU” (V or XV anniversaries), as well as Order of the USSR, worn until 1943 over the left breast pocket. In total, about 800 people were awarded the honorary badge of the V anniversary of the Cheka-GPU. At the end of 1931 and in 1932, messages on awarding began to be announced by orders at the OGPU. Order "DUTY AND HONOR" - has the shape of a five-pointed star with a diameter of 50 mm. The plating of the star is electroplated gold. The inner part of the star is covered with red enamel with a double silver edging.   The star is assigned to the light (coating - electroplated silver by oxidation), with five crystals "Swarovski" brilliant cut "marquis".   In the center of the star against the background of the State Flag of Ukraine, there is a classic image of the sarcophagus of the 4th unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and an international sign of radiation hazard. Under which - a laurel branch and a ribbon of white enamel with the motto of the order "DUTY AND HONOR".   The Small State Emblem of Ukraine and the years "1986 1990" are depicted on a blue background of the flag.   On the reverse side of the order, in a circle, there is the inscription "LIQUIDATOR - the savior of mankind", a place for a serial number and a fastener for attaching to clothes (a threaded pin with a nut).
