Description

Antique works / original painting

fairy tale plot / doctor for animals / doctor Aibolit /

one of a kind / handmade

This ancient fabulous scene is an original work of the famous Soviet Ukrainian artist V.N. Kostenko (1927-2015). This artist is included in the catalog of Russian and Soviet Artists by the British scientist Matthew Cullen Bown. You can read her brief biography below.

This picture was created in 1974.

Title: "Dr. Aibolit"

Materials: cardboard, author's paint technologists

Dimensions: 71 cm x 97 cm (27.95 "x 38.19")

Picture-illustration for the children's fairy tale Korney Chukovsky "Doctor Aibolit"

Dr. Aibolit goes to Africa, on the Limpopo River, to treat sick animals. Wolves, whales, and eagles help him along the way. As a result of selfless 10-day work, Aibolit successfully cures all patients.

In the picture, the artist drew an episode when Dr. Aibolit treats a crocodile’s teeth.

This kind of picture will be a wonderful decoration for a nursery. She will also look great as wall decor in a veterinary clinic

He needs a frame to hold it in place, but I will let the next owner decide which type of frame and which color will look better. I like these old paintings leaning against the walls because they really don't even need a frame to add to their interior style.

Antique works / original painting Conversation of girlfriends / Russian girls / Ancient pastel painting / one of a kind / handmade This painting was created in 1969. Title: "Girlfriends" Materials: sandpaper, pastel Dimensions: 67 cm x 63 cm (26.37 "x 24.80") This picture is very joyful. In the foreground are four joyful girls in national Russian shawls who talk joyfully. Behind them is a snowy street, people are walking along it. The houses on the street are yellowish, old, not very tall. The street is not very wide. Most likely it is a small city.  It is clear that the girls are very happy about the first snow. The artist managed to capture them without undue sentimentality: a strong, ruddy girl in the center of the picture, looks openly and directly. She tells her friends something interesting and fun. To highlight the figures of the heroines, the author used intense color combinations. Bright shawls contrast with the background of white snow, and red and yellow shades in dresses make the images of girls bright. Children look funny and mischievous. He needs a frame to hold it in place, but I will let the next owner decide which type of frame and which color will look better. She stands timidly on the outskirts of a snowy winter village. immediately there is a desire to help her, protect her from sorrows and troubles threatening in an unknown world to her. She has already left her native, chained by the cold of the village, and is standing, apparently thinking about where to go next, overcoming anxiety and fear. The girl is dressed warmly enough: a coat, scarf, mittens ... But anyway, it feels like she was frozen. Around the snow, cold, the evening has already arrived. A girl is standing in the snow. She looks off to the side. Behind her, we see snow-covered trees and small peasant houses covered with snow. There are the outskirts of the village. Ancient works // Original painting Autumn landscape / mountain landscape / Autumn landscape painting / mountain painting / one of a kind / ready to ship Anatoly Kostenko’s painting “The Road to Crimea” is filled with the most vivid impressions: warmth, spaciousness, freshness, light. Golden spring trees in the rays of the bright autumn sun. Each element of the landscape: foliage, grass, sky as if filled with sun and air. Large warm strokes convey the movement of fresh air. Coolness lies only in the shade: under the crowns of tall trees The painting was done quickly and easily - like an etude: the colors are delicate, the details are discarded, the aerial perspective is addictive. But the impressions conveyed by the artist remain in his memory for a long time, helping to keep warm on winter days. This work of art was written in 1980. Title "Road in Crimea" Materials: oil, canvas Dimensions: 52 cm x 68 cm (20.47 "x 26.77") The painting was signed by the artist in the lower left corner and on the back.
