This vintage impressionistic still life is an original work of art by the famous Soviet Ukrainian artist V.N. Kostenko (1927-2015). This artist is included in the catalog of Russian and Soviet artists by British scientist Matthew Callern Bown. You can read her brief biography below.

Victoria Kostenko is a Soviet artist who wrote still lifes and genre scenes in which he praised the everyday home life of the townspeople, conveying it in a calm, realistic manner. The master’s still lifes are closely connected with the person, because he is the master of the things depicted, and his presence is felt in every subject.
The painting depicts a shelf in the sculptor's workshop, on which are sculptures - attributes of art. In the center of the composition is unfinished work, carefully wrapped in canvas. Next to it are two twigs with rowan berries.

About the artist:
Victoria Kostenko (1927 - 2015), an outstanding artist of the region of the Dnipropetrovsk region in eastern Ukraine. She was a rare Soviet woman whose talent was astounded. It is noteworthy that she managed to get closer to patriarchal men who did not like women at all. Nevertheless, Victoria enjoyed great respect as a master artist and continued her career, despite her gender.

Victoria Kostenko - Ukrainian and Russian artist, painter, graphic artist. Born in 1927 in Kamyshlov, Sverdlovsk Region, Russia. In 1949 she graduated from the Sverdlovsk Art College and continued her education in Estonia (the city of Tartu). Member of art exhibitions since 1956. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1971. Her works were acquired by the Dnepropetrovsk Art Museum, the Kirovograd Gallery "Elisavetgrad" and private collectors from all over Europe.
Victoria Kostenko is included in the “Dictionary of Russian and Soviet Painting of the Twentieth Century, 1900–1980” by Matthew Callern Bown (p. 162).

Delivery method

We ship all the parcels from Ukraine (from our logistics centers in Kyiv and Chernivtsi) via international services (FedEx, UPS) in two stages. 

First a parcel is sent by express delivery service to Europe, and then, it is shipped by air mail to the United States, Canada or Europe. 

You can see the movement of the parcel by a tracking number only in the second stage - 4-6 days after sending your order from our center. We estimate the delivery time to 12-18 days.

Express delivery is available only on individual request. Please contact us if you need Express delivery before placing an order so we can update shipping options.
