BA-64 is a Soviet light armored vehicle during World War II. Designed in 1941 on the chassis of the all-wheel drive GAZ-64 passenger car using pre-war Soviet developments, as well as experience gained from studying captured German armored vehicles. The BA-64 became the first Soviet serial all-wheel drive armored vehicle, remained the only vehicle of this class adopted for service in the USSR during the war, and also became the last Soviet classic armored vehicle. In total, during the serial production of the BA-64, from 1942 to the beginning of 1946, 9070 armored vehicles were produced, including vehicles based on it.   The crew of the BA-64 consisted of two people: a commander and a driver. The driver of the armored vehicle was located in the control compartment, and behind him, a little higher, was the commander, who served as a machine gunner.
