Description

oil on canvas

80x100 cm

2025

The painting depicts a busy harbor with sailboats. The romantic scene is subordinated to the cathedral in the center of the painting. The details of the painting seem to emerge through their vibration when combined into a single whole. The use of bold brushstrokes and contrasting colors creates a dynamic and impressionistic atmosphere.

oil on canvas 30x25 cm 2020 Denia (Spain) in all its infinite attraction. A city of medieval character.  Small and narrow streets are replaced by broad alleys leading to the port, to the sea. Unique relief with the «guarding» city mountain Montgo - natural park. The rays of the sun, like the master of the mint, show the edges of buildings and old cathedrals, and sunlit ships and boats in the harbour blinded their white sides.

oil on canvas 40x60 cm 2022 A vibrant painting captures a ship at sea with bold brush strokes and a dynamic blend of colors. The sky and water are depicted with shades of blue and white, giving a sense of movement and light to the scene. SS John Oxley is a steamship that previously served as a pilot boat, lighthouse and life buoy. The ship was built in Scotland in 1927 for the Queensland government. The ship became part of the Australian Navy during World War II. Returning to duty after the war, John Oxley remained active until 1968, when her deteriorating condition rendered her unusable. In 1970, the ship was donated by the Government of Queensland to the Lady Hopetown and Port Jackson Maritime Steam Museum (now the Sydney Heritage Fleet) for preservation, but due to other projects, work was put on hold until 2004. During eighty years on the water, the ship has undergone significant corrosion of the hull, decks and superstructures. Most of the ship's riveted hull plates required complete copying using the same hot riveting method used in ship construction. In 2017, the ship underwent a restoration at Rozelle Bay, Sydney, Australia. All mechanisms, masts and rigging, wooden structures, interior decoration were restored and repaired, and, in general, the ship was put into a seaworthy condition so that it could again go to sea and make coastal voyages. The picture is painted in the author's technique with a palette knife in the style of impressionism.

oil on canvas 60x140 cm 2023 A vibrant scene features a historic ship docked near a bustling harbor town, depicted with bold brush strokes and dynamic colors. The buildings exhibit a mix of architectural styles, adding depth to the lively waterfront atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of Canal of Serenity, a breathtaking diptych that continues the narrative of the Golden Age series of paintings. These two paintings, which form a single whole, painted in oil on canvas, depict a quarterly scene of the city at the beginning of the last century, two sailing ships moored to the opposite embankments of the canal. In a harmonious combination of realism and fantasy, the left side of the canal is bathed in the evening shade, and the right side is bathed in the golden glow of the sun. Despite the contrasting lighting, an organic calm reign in the scene, evoking a feeling of peace and order. The sails are neatly assembled on the yards, quiet ripples from time to time disturb the calm waters of the canal, casting mesmerizing reflections of the hulls of the ships. With meticulous attention to detail and a serene atmosphere, this diptych invites viewers to immerse themselves in a world where shadows and sunlight coexist in perfect harmony.

oil on canvas 60x90 cm 2023 A vibrant scene depicts a large ship docked at a bustling harbor, with people moving along the quay. Bright colors and dynamic brushstrokes capture the lively atmosphere of the waterfront. Step into the vibrant hustle and bustle of city life with DAILY BUSTLE, an evocative oil painting on canvas that captures the energy and anticipation of a new day. At the heart of the scene lies the city embankment, bustling with activity as crowds of people make their way to the port for their daily shifts. Along the canal, a majestic liner with a sleek black hull and a vibrant red waterline is moored at the pier, ready to embark on its journey. A working tugboat gracefully glides through the water, guiding vessels along the bustling waterway. The low dawn sun bathes the scene in warm light, illuminating the gables of buildings lining the canal and casting long shadows that accentuate the early hour depicted in the painting. With its dynamic composition and rich detail, DAILY BUSTLE captures the essence of a bustling waterfront city awakening to a new day filled with endless possibilities and experiences.

oil on canvas 70x60 cm 2020 A small, seemingly abandoned house stands under a dynamic sky, with a single tree bending in the wind next to it. The scene is depicted with expressive brushstrokes that give a sense of movement and rustic charm. A destroyed house can tell a lot of interesting things about its life history. Is not it?

oil on canvas 60x90 cm 2020 Light dances across the surface of the water where boats are tethered to a dock. The color palette is vibrant with blues, yellows, and hints of green reflecting on the tranquil waters, suggesting a serene setting in a maritime environment. The plot of my painting is simple - a pier and old fishing boats moored next to it. But this simplicity conquers at first sight, brings peace from the "calm water" clarity of the image with an accentuated reflection of the wooden sides, and the invisible coastline makes you think about what is left outside the canvas. In my work, I put not only my talent and skill, but also the philosophical meaning, which is manifested in the details. Amazing reflections of canals in the small Spanish village of Albufera in the outskirts of Valencia. It was reflections that I focused on, since they are the key to the perception of the water surface, reflecting the boats, the building on the pier and the silvery sky. Once, when a painting, among others, was being prepared for an exhibition in an art gallery, it turned out to be upside down... And everyone saw what the philosophical meaning of the "reflection" eternally sung by the Japanese is - upside down, we look at the boats from under the water, which in itself uncommon, but unusual. Like a portal opening a mysterious underwater world. If you want - check it out, you'll like it. Of course, I do not urge to place the picture on the contrary, but you already know its inner potential.
