Marquetry panel. Glass of wine Work in the technique of marquetry, the size of the frame is 28x21 inches (72x53 cm). When creating the work, we used veneer, American walnut, koto, olive ash, Gabon, paduk, maple, makore. Frame - sweet cherry, varnish, patination. The work is covered with linseed oil and shellac. The frame is equipped with pendants. It is possible to order under the order in the required sizes. Marquetry is an art set of thin wooden veneers of different colors and textures. Pieces of wood, joining along the edges between themselves, form a solid image, which is then glued to the base. The role of the colors in marquetry is played by the texture and shade of the wood, so the most important task is to determine the composition and artistic skill of the master in order to select and combine the correct veneer fragments. In the marketer's workshop there are hundreds of different types of veneers, from black to almost white, and the same tree in different areas can have different shades. The high cost of the finished product is due primarily to the labor-intensive production process, requiring up to 90% of manual labor. The process of doing the work is quite complicated and involves many related operations. At the same time, assembling the mosaic set itself is no more than a third of the whole process. The rest is preparing the image, finalizing and correcting the set, gluing, grinding, oiling and varnishing, etc. Many steps are repeated many times to achieve the best result. Only oil treatment with a subsequent primer and final shellac treatment takes up to 7 days.

The main type of their activity is animal husbandry, which is why they are forced to roam in search of fresh pasture for their livestock. For the bright clothes and a large number of beads, this tribe is called “butterflies.” Most likely, this tribe got its name due to the clothes of bright colors and colorful ornaments. Fabrics of bright colors, often pink, yellow and red, they put samburu on their shoulders or tie them on the waist like a long skirt, this traditional outfit is called "shukka". The tribe lives by the scenic Ndoto mountain ranges in northern Kenya. These places are still untouched by civilization. Samburu knowingly does not make contact with the modern world (although they are quite friendly) in the name of preserving their traditions. Samburu is genuinely loyal to its centuries-old traditions: they are very careful about numerous customs and are still implicitly conducting ancient ceremonies. In everyday life, men and women samburu can walk topless or wear a loincloth - kanga. Sometimes it is decorated with a complex and bright ornament. Before the appearance of full-fledged clothing, samburu was worn by animal skins. Now only women use pieces of skin as aprons. Skins are used during ceremonies. Many beads are an important part of the appearance of samburu. They are woven with a complex pattern and fit on the neck in multilayer ornaments that can say a lot. For example, to be a symbol of power, a distinction of social groups from each other or to report that its owner has the ability to witchcraft. Nevertheless, their inherent feature is aesthetic beauty.

Pieces of wood, docking along the edges between each other, form an integral picture, which is then glued to the base. The role of paints in marquetry is played by the texture and shade of the tree, so the most important task is to determine the composition and artistic skill of the master to choose and combine the right veneer fragments. In the marketer's workshop there are hundreds of different types of veneer, from black to almost white, and the same tree in different areas can have different shades. The high cost of the finished product is primarily due to the labor-intensive manufacturing process, requiring up to 90% of manual labor. The process of performing the work is quite complicated and involves many related operations. At the same time, assembling the mosaic set itself is only no more than a third of the whole process. The rest is the preparation of the image, refinement and correction of the set, gluing, grinding, finishing with oils and varnish, etc. Many stages are repeated many times to achieve a better result. Only an oil finish followed by a primer and a final shellac finish takes up to 7 days.

The history of the creation of the WOODINS workshop began in 2014 from the moment its mastermind carried away the fascinating art of Marquetry - creating images using the technique of wooden mosaics. The workshop creation was preceded by several years of studying the basic aspects and capabilities of the marquetry and the creation of the first few dozen works. Decorative art of wooden mosaics is extremely painstaking and time-consuming, which leads to exorbitant cost of products. Gradually, the workshop acquired the necessary equipment, new technologies were mastered. This allowed a minimum of 5 times to reduce the cost of finished products. A number of the most complex and long processes are now done by the master using programs and modern mechanisms. However, up to 90% of manual labor is present in each workshop product. The cost of the Woodins workshop product is comparable to the cost of the "tabloid" oil painting. Each panel is already equipped with a frame and ready to hang.
