The set of two commemorative coins is dedicated to one of Kyiv's architectural pearls of national importance - Volodymyr's Cathedral. Built in the new-Byzantine style, it attracts attention both with its history and interior painting - a real masterpiece of art. A significant number of donations were collected for the construction of the cathedral, which lasted 20 years - from 1862 to 1882. For more than 10 years, work continued on the interior decoration of the temple, unique paintings are its main value, thanks to which the cathedral received the status of a cultural monument. On the walls of the temple are depicted not only the images of saints, but also historical subjects: the baptism of Prince Volodymyr, the baptism of Kyivans, as well as portraits of historical figures.
