Glass Christmas tree decorations of different colors. These jewelry were made in the USSR in the 1950s and 1960s. The Soviet Union produced many types of toys. The Christmas tree is decorated with pine cones, fruits, vegetables, fairy-tale characters, figures of animals, birds and even cars and astronauts! All Soviet Christmas tree decorations are hand-painted. Glass ornaments were mostly handmade according to the old tradition, so they may look the same, in fact there are no two ornaments. They were also usually hand painted. This was the case until the 1970s, when Western mass production methods were finally introduced. Thus, not many old ones have survived to this day (they were quite fragile). Length 17 cm Diameter 7 cm Material: glass, metal caps on top.
