People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Peter Kuzmich was born on July 13, 1925 in the village of Kapkany near Kerch in the family of the head of fisheries, ichthyologist Kuzma Semenovich Stolyarenko. Like his father, who was fond of painting in his youth, Peter smalu showed a penchant for drawing. One of the vivid impressions of his childhood was a visit with the father of Theodosia Art Gallery to them. I.K. Aivazovsky. Later, living with an aunt in Feodosia (1936–1942), he “went to the gallery as if to a temple and tried to write, imitating Aivazovsky.” He was also lucky to be in the workshop of K. F. Bogaevsky - thanks to the same aunt who sheathed the wife of the famous artist. However, Stolyarenko began to systematically study painting only after the war, and until then, at any opportunity, he studied independently. He studied at the Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts, where he received the basics of art education. Teacher: V.I. Shuhaev. In 2000 he became a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 2001 his paintings were exhibited in Santa Barbara (California, USA). His paintings are represented in Ukrainian museums and private collections in Canada, UK, Ukraine, USA and Germany. Nestor Mitrofanovich died in 2007.
