How to teach my cat use this self-groomer?

Answer:
It comes with a packet of catnip. Add catnip to the vents and your cat will teach itself. You put that in the compartment, stick it on a corner of a wall about neck high and the cat will automatically start using it!

What are the "spikes"? Are they like soft plastic or hard?

Answer:
Spikes are hard but flexible plastic, firm enough for cat self-grooming.

How do I get it off the wall to clean it? By taking out the screws?

Answer:
Snaps off.
