A pendant-amulet with its Viking dragon is from an original find from Mors in Denmark 11 ct.  The dragon or snake is one of the main motifs of Scandinavian art of the Viking Age. Sometimes it is even difficult to tell which animal is depicted in the lace patterns: the artists of that time stylized and curved the animals so whimsically (the final interpretation depends on the viewer). ⠀ The dragon was a symbol of strength and a powerful protector against danger. The snake sheds its skin and is reborn. Like the great serpent Jormungandr, which covers the whole world by biting its tail, it is a symbol of the balance of the forces of nature, which is constantly renewed. ◾Diameter is 4 cm (1.6"),thickness 1 cm (0.4"), made of walnut wood, finished with linseed oil. Іноді навіть важко розрізнити, яка тварина зображена на мереживних візерунках: настільки химерно стилізували і вигинали тварин тогочасні художники (остаточна інтерпретація залежить від глядача). ⠀ Дракон був символом сили та могутнім захисником від небезпеки. One year ago I went to Transcarpathia to go hiking in the mountains. But before the mountains, I decided to take a short walk through Uzhgorod. In one museum, I saw an interesting technology of inlaying wooden products with beads. I really liked this concept. When I got home, I even bought a few bags of small beads to master the technique. Зооморфні мотиви — одна з найпоширеніших тем декоративно-прикладного мистецтва. І це не дивно, адже люди завжди спілкувалися з тваринами, а їхні образи були втіленням різноманітних рис та якостей, навіть надприродних. Також тварин ототожнювали з благополуччям і затишком, а іноді, навпаки, з силами дикої та неприборканої природи. Вони могли виступати і як духи-охоронці, і провісники біди... А часто траплялося, що одна і та ж тварина могла бути і «добрим, і злим» — хитруном. Про це свідчить фольклорна спадщина практично будь-якого народу: міфи, легенди, казки. Якщо говорити про цей кулон конкретно, то його зображення повертає нас у часи стародавніх кельтів чи скандинавів, коли зображення тварини могло набувати такої стилізації, що важко точно визначити, що це за тварина. Але часи були суворі, тож з часткою ймовірності можна сказати, що звір теж був «суворим». Тобто хижак, сильний і спритний, як вовк чи росомаха. Або це міг бути дракон взагалі, зображення якого іноді наносили на речі, щоб надати собі драконячу силу, а іноді, щоб захиститися від «злих» духів або відлякати ворогів. ◾ Кулон, висота 4,7 см (1,85") без бусинки (з бусинкою 5,7 см (2,25")), нейлоновий шнур довжиною 36-64 см (14-25"), регулюється ковзанком. сучки Дерево клена, різьблення, пірографія, тонування та просочення лляною олією.

Підвіска з вовком в кельтському стилі. Подібні зооморфні мотиви були дуже поширені в мистецтві стародавніх кельтів. Правда, за однією з версій, це не вовки, а собаки. Буває, вийдеш увечері на двір, подивишся на повний місяць, а на тебе з місяця подивляться два вовки. Хто вони? ⠀ Одразу спадають на думку Гері та Фрекі - вірний почт і улюбленці Одіна, які їдять їжу з його столу, войовничі учасники битв і Дикого полювання. Є втіленням фізичної сили Вотана. Також згадуються міфічні змовники-харциси, два хижаки, які по черзі гризуть місяць. А може бути, це пара вовків, які будуть один з одним до кінця - ніжні коханці і батьки, для яких один одного достатньо для щастя????. Чому сплетені: це вічні обійми чи двобій? У будь-якому випадку - нерозривний зв'язок, інь і ян, сонце і місяць, початок і кінець. ⠀  ◾ Підвіска, висота 4 см (1,6") без бусинки (з бусинкою 5 см (1,97")), нейлоновий шнур довжиною 36-64 см (14-25") і регулюється ковзними вузлами.
