The LuAZ-969M car began its history in 1977, when the plant began work on improving the LuAZ-969A model.
The popular name is "Volynyanka".
The debut of the model took place in 1978 at the international motor show in Turin, and according to its results, LuAZ-969M entered the top ten best all-wheel drive cars in Europe. In 1979, this model received an award at the international exhibition “Nursing Earth” held in the Czech Republic; the car was awarded a gold medal as one of the best cars for the village. From 1979 to the present day, the car is used mainly in rural areas, as it has impeccable off-road properties.

Years of production: 1979-1992.

Since 1983, the model has been exported by Mortarelli to Western European countries, in particular to Italy. But the export version was subject to significant modernization, which was carried out in Italy - a new, more powerful and economical Ford engine was installed, the wheels were replaced and the interior was modified. In total, as of 1989, 126 893 cars rolled off the production line.

One of the disadvantages of the LuAZ car is the power unit. Among the main disadvantages are:

- constant filling with oil;
- is not durable and reliable (average life expectancy of a motor is about 50-60,000 km);
- has a lot of noise and fairly weak power;
- a canvas top, under which it is very hot in summer and cool in cold weather, so you have to keep warm using improvised methods.
A full gas tank of the LuAZ-969M was enough for 300 - 350 km of travel.

Positive qualities of the machine:
- high off-road capability of the vehicle
- together with the driver, six fairly massive men in hunting equipment can go hunting or fishing - and not every car can do this.
In the case when the rear seats are folded out, the car can take with it an additional 400 kilograms of luggage, which will be very useful for fishermen and hunters.

Model made in China by DeAGOSTINI, 1/43 scale. The body of the model is made of metal, the rest of the material is plastic.

Model in good vintage condition. The model was kept in a special rack.
A perfect piece for collectors or as a gift for a child.
