Sir Hugh Calveley (1315-20 died 23 April 1393 or 1394) was an English knight and commander, who took part in the Hundred Years' War, gaining fame during the War of the Breton Succession and the Castilian Civil War. Poppo von Osterna (died 1267) was the ninth Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights. Poppo von Osterna (died November 6, 1267) was the ninth Grand Master of the Teutonic order (1253 1256). Poppo von Osterna is from a rich family of knightly traditions that resides in Osternohe near Nuremberg in Franconia. He joined the Teutonic order in 1228, it is one of the brothers settle in Prussia. He became Master of Prussia in 1240 and took part in the battle of Legnica 1241, although the participation of the Teutonic Knights in battle is questionable. In 1242 Poppo travels to Austria with a German legation to raise money to fund the war against Świętopełk Pomeranian II. 1248 1253 Poppo lies in Germany, becoming the ninth Grand Master in 1253 despite pro-papale minority that prefer Wilhelm von Urenbach (in). The new Grand Master of the order moved to Prussia and combat the Yotvingians (in). It takes a Bohemian Ottokar II using crusade in situated in 1254. Edward III of Bar (late June 1377 - 25 October 1415, Agincourt) was made marquis of Pont-a-Mousson by his father Robert I of Bar in 1399 (his mother was Marie Valois, daughter of John II of France) and held it until his death He then became heir to the duchy of Bar following the death of his elder brothers Henry and Philippe at or soon after the battle of Nicopolis in 1396. In 1405, Charles VI of France charged him with defending the Boulonnais, then threatened by the English. At the end of 1406 he participated in the Guyenne campaign under the orders of Louis of Orleans, but dysentry decimated the French forces. After Louis's assassination in 1407, Edward joined John the Fearless and rallied the Burgundians. Succeeding his father on 12 April 1411, Edward was killed at the battle of Agincourt and succeeded by his brother (he never married, though he left several illegitimate children).
