Description

Antique Original Author's Painting /

Portrait of a Woman ./ Self-portrait in Oil

Mid Century / one of a kind. / Ready to ship.

Dimensions: 49 cm x 36 cm (19.29 "x 14, 17")

In the painting “Self-portrait”, painted in oil on cardboard in 1965, the Soviet Russian artist Victoria Kostenko portrayed herself sitting in front of an easel with her eyes closed. If you look closely at the portrait, you can find on the right shoulder of the artist another small female portrait inverted. One can only guess what the artist wanted to tell us. Perhaps the new owner of this unique self-portrait will be able to solve this riddle.

He needs a frame to hold it in place, but I will let the next owner decide which type of frame and which color will look better. I like these old paintings leaning against the walls because they really don't even need a frame to add to their interior style.
