Figure height 1.73 in, width 1.14 in. Daruma ( Bodaidaruma) is the founder of the Chan (Zen) Buddhist school. The aim of the Zen practice is to open the eye of the soul and see the basis of life, the desire for inner purification by refraining from vice and material goods.   Daruma is very pleasant to the touch. Okame height 1.34 in, width 1.02 in. The Okame mask of the Kegen Theatre is one of the cultural symbols of Japan. A very charming piece - a very accurate copy of the handwriting of my creative workshop. It is made of white clay, which became beige during the process of roasting. Upon careful examination, it can be seen that the posterior part of the article( symbolizing the neck of the mask bearer) has come out significantly lighter. That makes it even clearer.
